Morrisville, NC – July 30, 2021 – The JF Petroleum Group, a MidOcean Partners portfolio company and the premier provider of fueling system solutions in North America, announced several internal organizational changes today. John Sauers will be leaving the JF Petroleum Group to begin a new phase in his career, which will be running his own real estate business in Northeastern Ohio, Hudson Preferred Properties.

 

John began his career in the Petroleum Equipment Industry (PEI) with EMCO Wheaton in 1986 as an Inside Sales Coordinator. Over the next several years, he advanced to District Sales Manager and then Product Manager. In 1994, John joined ANS Distributing as the Vice President and General Manager, based in Twinsburg, Ohio. John earned his stripes the old-fashioned way, with a trunk full of product samples and living the life of a road warrior calling on customers across the United States. Along the way, John learned the products, the supply base, and the customers and became one of the industry’s leading authorities on product applications. In November of 2012, John was promoted to President & CEO of ANS Distributing. In a few short years, John and his team grew ANS to become the industry’s premier petroleum equipment distribution company. ANS became renowned for quality, inventory availability, expert technical assistance, and friendly customer service. Jones & Frank and MidOcean Partners took notice of the success of ANS and the reputation they had established. In 2016, Jones & Frank acquired ANS. Under John’s leadership, ANS continued to excel and after an intense integration process, became the Distribution Division within the JF Petroleum Group. Keith Shadrick, the CEO of the JF Petroleum Group stated, “Over the course of a short 35-year span in the petroleum equipment industry, John knocked it out of the park in a series of progressively challenging assignments. John’s PEI career culminated by leading the most successful distribution services company the industry has ever known. As John changes course and gets ready for the next chapter in his career, we have the opportunity to promote from within and bring fresh leadership and new perspectives to our distribution business unit (ANS). Effective August 1st, Shawn Austin is promoted to Senior Vice President and will assume the helm at ANS. Most recently, Shawn has led our Midwest Region providing excellent customer service and year over year profitable growth. Shawn is exceptionally well qualified to take the reins at ANS, and we look forward to the continued success of Shawn and the ANS team. Also, effective August 1st, Brad Crawford is promoted to Vice President of the Midwest Region. Brad will be supported by Bret Carlyle, our Business Development Director of the Midwest Region.
