Hess to Speedway Conversion Project

2014

In 2014, Speedway acquired Hess Retail Operations adding 1,245 store locations to their footprint along the East Coast of the U.S. To meet their aggressive business plans, Speedway rapidly integrated the locations and aligned them with Speedway standards. Among business partners to help them with this huge task, Speedway reached out to Jones & Frank to reimage all of the dispensers at these locations on the eastern seaboard. The project began in November 2014 in Jacksonville, Florida. The schedule called for reimaging five stores per day until completion.

Jones & Frank called on our National Project team and assigned a dedicated project manager and five dedicated teams to the project. In just 16 months, our National Project team completed the site surveys of all the stores and performed the reimage of over 8,000 dispensers at these locations.

We supplied Gilbarco’s dispenser graphics package to reimage more than 8,000 Gilbarco dispensers at over 1,200 stores from Miami, Florida, to Boston, Massachusetts. With the combination of Jones & Frank Sales, Purchasing, Service Project teams, we were able to meet Speedway’s schedule.

Throughout this project, the safety of our employees and site personnel was a key consideration for Speedway. We successfully supplied more than 20,000 on-site man hours with no recordable safety incidents for this project.

Jones & Frank was proud to contribute to the success of Speedway’s conversion and integration of these locations.
